Iltani Resources Limited (ASX: ILT) has mobilized a wheel-mounted reverse circulation drill rig to test multiple regional targets within its Herberton project in North Queensland. This campaign follows the completion of planned drilling at the company’s primary Orient Silver-Indium site. The current program is designed to evaluate the economic potential of three distinct targets, with operations focusing on gold, silver, and base metal systems.

The regional exploration work targets the Boonmoo Epithermal zone, where five holes are planned to test a vein system mapped over a 1,200-metre strike extent. Following this, the rig will move to test the Union Jack and Boonmoo Bonanza targets, which show potential for silver, copper, lead, and zinc mineralization. Managing Director Donald Garner outlined the immediate operational path:

"The wheel-mounted RC rig has moved onto drilling a number of our exciting regional targets within the larger Herberton Project after completing the drill holes allocated to it at Orient East and West. The drill rig is now drilling at the Boonmoo Epithermal (Au-Ag) target, where it will complete five drill holes into the vein system, then the rig will test the Union Jack and Boonmoo Bonanza base metal (Ag-Cu-Pb-Zn-In) targets before demobilising from site."

The company expects to conclude this regional drilling program within 14 days. Meanwhile, a separate track-mounted rig remains active at the Orient Silver-Indium site. To date, 71 drill holes have been completed at Orient during the current field season. As the team works to advance these prospects, Iltani anticipates that further assay results from the ongoing Orient drilling program will be released over the coming weeks.

Beyond immediate drilling, Iltani is expanding its footprint in North Queensland by securing priority status for three new tenement applications. These areas are considered prospective for gold, silver, and tungsten, with the company noting that they are located within a truckable distance of its potential processing infrastructure at Orient. The company expects these applications to be granted over the next 6 to 12 months.
