Image Resources NL has announced that Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Patrick Mutz will step down from his executive roles and resign as a director at the close of business on 31 August 2026.

Mr Mutz has agreed to remain in his current position until that date to work alongside the board and senior management on an orderly handover. The board's primary focus during the transition period is maintaining continuity across operations, project delivery, stakeholder relationships, and regulatory obligations.

The board has launched a formal recruitment process to appoint a new chief executive. Chair Winston Lee will transition into the role of Executive Chair while the search is conducted, and Image will provide a further update once a successor has been named.

Alongside the executive changes, the company aims to demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility of its provisionally patented process for upgrading ilmenite to synthetic rutile during calendar year 2026.
