Intrepid Metals Identifies Prospective Alteration Corridor at Corral Copper

Intrepid Metals has identified an extensive northeast-trending alteration corridor at its district-scale Corral Copper Project in Cochise County, Arizona, following preliminary surface short-wave infrared spectral rock alteration analysis from its Phase 1 exploration program.

The work involved screening 165 feldspathic lithology samples out of 316 total mineral interpretation results from a systematic rock sampling campaign. The resulting interpretation defines an alteration corridor extending from the Curly Porphyry Target toward the Ringo Zone.

Independent porphyry-related spectral indicators mapped within the corridor include elevated white mica alteration, localized aluminum-hydroxyl wavelength vectors, jarosite domains, and epidote occurrences. Intrepid noted that the results provide evidence of a hydrothermal system and strengthen the Curly target ahead of upcoming geophysical work.

“What is particularly encouraging is the emergence of a coherent alteration corridor supported by several independent mineral indicators. While these results do not identify a porphyry centre on their own, they provide valuable vectoring information that will help us focus the upcoming IP-MT survey and prioritize targets for drilling. The findings are being integrated with geological mapping, geochemistry, portable X-ray fluorescence data, and the company's three-dimensional geological model. The work supports target refinement for an upcoming induced polarization-magnetotelluric survey.

Intrepid recently completed and filed an independent National Instrument 43-101 technical report for the project with an effective date of August 5, 2026. Additional analytical results and interpretation from the Phase 1 sampling program remain pending. The company plans an approximately 10,000-metre drill program at the project later this year.
