Intrepid Metals Selects Major Drilling for 10,000-Metre Program at Corral Copper

Intrepid Metals Corp. has appointed Major Drilling Group International Inc. as the drilling contractor for its upcoming 10,000-metre exploration program at the Corral Copper Project in Cochise County, Arizona. Equity Exploration Consultants Ltd. has also been engaged to provide geological and operational support for the campaign, which is scheduled to commence in early September 2026.
The planned program is expected to comprise approximately 20 drill holes, scaling up significantly from the 2025 campaign, which totaled 5,765.4 metres across 21 holes. About half of the meterage will focus on expanding near-surface carbonate replacement deposit copper-gold-silver mineralization across the Ringo, Clanton, Earp, and Holliday zones. The remaining 5,000 metres will test high-priority porphyry copper-gold targets, marking the first drilling at the property specifically designed to evaluate the potential source of the wider mineralizing system.
Porphyry drilling is expected to begin in mid- to late October following an induced polarization ground geophysical survey and integration with 3D geological mapping and surface geochemistry. Teck Resources Limited became a strategic equity stakeholder in late 2025 and participated in subsequent financings to support exploration across the district.
“Finalizing our drilling and technical support teams represents another important step toward launching our most ambitious exploration program at Corral to date,” said Matt Lennox-King, Chairman and Interim Chief Executive Officer of Intrepid. “Major Drilling and Equity Exploration bring extensive drilling, geological and project execution experience to the program. With the site visit now complete and final preparations underway, we remain on schedule to commence drilling in early September. With approximately half of the program focused on expanding the extensive CRD mineralization already identified and half dedicated to our first direct tests of high-priority porphyry targets, this program is designed to advance both components of the significant exploration opportunity at Corral.” — Matt Lennox-King, Chairman and Interim Chief Executive Officer
Drilling is scheduled to begin in early September with initial holes focusing on expanding known mineralized zones before transitioning to the porphyry targets later in the autumn.
