Itech Minerals Ltd (ASX: ITM) has confirmed the effectiveness of using field-portable XRF (pXRF) technology to identify gold and antimony mineralization at its Reynolds Range project. Recent soil sampling programs returned peak values of 12.1g/t Au and 9.1% Sb, validating the use of rapid, lower-cost geochemical screening as a primary targeting tool across the project’s substantial structural footprint.

The company analyzed 182 soil samples, demonstrating a strong correlation between pXRF readings and laboratory assays for pathfinder elements, particularly arsenic. This result allows the technical team to utilize arsenic as a reliable, real-time indicator for locating gold mineralization in the field. The soil sampling also identified a new zone of mineralization at the Falchion prospect, extending the known strike length to over 180 meters.

"These results are a gamechanger for how we explore at Reynolds Range. The process has demonstrated that pXRF soil geochemistry gives us reliable, real-time vectors to gold-antimony mineralisation in the field, at a fraction of the cost and turnaround time of laboratory-only programs. The survey has already identified a new zone of mineralisation at Falchion."

The Reynolds Range project sits within the broader 42-kilometre-long Stafford Gold Trend, providing the company with a significant search space for exploration. With the pXRF methodology now validated, iTech intends to deploy systematic soil geochemistry to screen prospective structures identified by recent drone magnetic surveys. This approach aims to streamline the targeting process, ensuring that future drill programs are focused on the highest-quality gold-antimony anomalies.

Results from the first phase of drilling at the prospect are expected in the next 2-3 weeks, which will provide further clarity on the subsurface extent of the mineralized zones identified by the recent soil geochemistry campaign.
