J2 Metals Hits 1,030 g/t Silver at Sierra Plata and Prepares Trenching

J2 Metals Inc. has returned a high-grade rock sample of 1,030 g/t silver from a dump sample at the El Sabino area of its Sierra Plata project in the Zacualpan-Taxco district of Guerrero State, Mexico.
Systematic geological mapping across approximately half of the project area has identified seven distinct veins and located 20 historical mine workings. Recent channel sampling along the El Sabino vein trend yielded 941 g/t silver over 0.7 metres with 1.9% lead and 4.3% zinc, alongside a 1.4-metre interval grading 811 g/t silver. Sampling at the El Salto mine returned 788 g/t silver with 1.05 g/t gold over 0.25 metres.
Mapping indicates that silver mineralization is preferentially developed where quartz-dominant veins are hosted in andesitic tuff and limestone. The company holds an option to acquire a 100% interest in the 2,203-hectare property from Impact Silver Corp. over a three-year period.
“The first two months of systematic work at Sierra Plata have exceeded our expectations,” said Thomas Lamb, CEO of J2. “We are seeing high silver grades not only at the historical mines that first attracted us to the district, but also on newly recognized structures such as the El Salto and El Sabino veins. With half the property still to be mapped, seven veins already defined and 20 historical workings located, we are moving quickly to trench top targets and to secure the permit for a first drill program. The work carried out to date by our technical team led by Carlos Cham in Mexico has been excellent and we are very excited by the results and discoveries being made.”

J2 Metals is designing a maiden trenching program across the El Sabino, San Miguel, El Salto, and El Resumidero veins, with trenches planned at 25 to 30-metre intervals along strike. In parallel, the company is advancing drill permit applications for a first diamond drill program, supported by ongoing community engagement and preliminary data from a drone magnetic survey. Regional activity in the district includes recent drilling at the Ana Paula project by Heliostar Metals Ltd., which intercepted 99.8 metres grading 10.9 g/t gold.
