Kalamazoo Resources Limited (KZR) has finished its resource definition drilling program at the Mt Olympus deposit, a core component of the Ashburton Gold Project in Western Australia. The campaign consisted of 72 holes totaling 13,726 metres, with the company aiming to improve geological confidence ahead of upcoming technical milestones. By tightening drill spacing to approximately 20m x 20m, the explorer intends to facilitate the conversion of Inferred Mineral Resources into the higher-confidence Indicated category.

The company has received assays for 34 of the 72 holes, with the latest results confirming consistent, high-grade mineralisation. Notable intersections include 31.0m @ 5.2 g/t gold from 49m, including a 15m interval at 7.5 g/t. Across the program to date, 16 intercepts have exceeded 50 gram-metres. Furthermore, some drilling has intersected gold mineralisation outside the currently defined resource envelope but within the project's conceptual open-pit design, potentially offering a pathway to expand the future mining inventory.

"Having now received almost 50% of the drill results, we are pleased to see confirmation of the existing resource extents, and we are highly confident in the continuity of the high-grade mineralisation ahead of the updated MRE."

— Dr Ben Ackerman, Executive Director

Kalamazoo noted that these results are vital for the project’s transition from exploration toward development. The infill data is expected to improve mine planning flexibility and provide the technical foundation for future Ore Reserve estimation. Assays for the remaining half of the drill program are currently being processed at an independent laboratory, with results expected to be released to the market over the coming weeks as part of a steady pipeline of news.

The successful completion of this drilling marks a step forward for the Ashburton Gold Project. Kalamazoo is now focused on two key future catalysts: an updated Mineral Resource Estimate scheduled for release in Q4 2026, followed by the delivery of a Pre-Feasibility Study in Q1 2027. Additionally, the company has commenced an underground resource growth drilling program targeting depth extensions beneath the main pit, signaling that exploration efforts will continue to run in parallel with the ongoing resource evaluation and engineering studies.
