Kalgoorlie Gold Mining Limited has completed a reverse circulation drilling program at the Pinjin Gold Project’s Lighthorse prospect, located 140 kilometres north-east of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Western Australia.

The program comprised 19 holes for a total of 3,194 metres, averaging 168 metres per hole. The work included tighter-spaced infill and extensional drilling across key parts of the prospect, alongside initial wide-spaced testing further north along the geophysical magnetometric conductivity anomaly to evaluate additional strike potential.

Geological observations from this latest program are again encouraging, with alteration, veining, and sulphide mineralisation consistent with, but not necessarily indicative of, gold mineralisation recorded in many drill holes.”

All samples from the completed holes have been delivered to the laboratory. Kalgoorlie Gold Mining expects assay results over the coming weeks, likely ahead of data from the recently completed Laverton Tectonic Zone Flexure aircore drill program.

Further aircore drilling is scheduled to commence in late September or early October. That upcoming campaign will target the Rebecca sequence north and northeast of the Flexure target areas, with final designs to be informed by the pending Flexure results.
