Kalgoorlie Gold Mining Limited has returned high-grade assays from recent reverse circulation drilling at the Lighthorse prospect within its Pinjin project in Western Australia, highlighted by a peak individual assay of 19.70 g/t gold.

The 19-hole program totaled 3,194 metres, targeting areas 1 to 2 kilometres northwest of the Kirgella Gift and Providence deposits, where the company previously defined a JORC Code Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate of 2.34 million tonnes at 1.0 g/t gold for 76,400 ounces. Drilling returned the highest-grade individual gold result recorded at Lighthorse to date in hole KGRC26036, which intersected 1 metre at 19.70 g/t gold from 145 metres. The hole also returned 3 metres at 9.01 g/t gold from 145 metres within a broader envelope of 22 metres at 1.58 g/t gold from 145 metres.

Other notable results include hole KGRC26025, which yielded 6 metres at 4.86 g/t gold from 54 metres, including 3 metres at 8.82 g/t gold from 55 metres. Hole KGRC26029 intersected 8 metres at 2.27 g/t gold from 94 metres, including 4 metres at 4.40 g/t gold from 95 metres within a broader envelope of 12 metres at 1.96 g/t gold from 94 metres. Hole KGRC26038 returned 5 metres at 2.91 g/t gold from 101 metres, including 2 metres at 6.06 g/t gold from 101 metres within a broader envelope of 17 metres at 1.22 g/t gold from 100 metres.

The program encountered mineralisation styles consistent with Archaean orogenic gold systems, including near-surface alluvial gold, a second northern supergene blanket from around 25 metres below surface, and thick zones of primary vein and shear-hosted mineralisation at depth.

We are very pleased with the results of our RC drilling at Lighthorse, which continue to define and expand primary and secondary gold mineralisation. This program has delivered thick mineralised intercepts from shallow levels and has returned the highest-grade gold result recorded at Lighthorse to date.

Previous RC drilling completed by Kalgoorlie Gold Mining at the Lighthorse prospect defined primary orogenic gold mineralisation over 1,100 metres of strike. Assay results are currently pending for aircore drilling of the Laverton Tectonic Zone Flexure.
