Kaoko Metals Limited has intersected shallow, broad zones of visible copper mineralisation in the first two diamond drill holes completed at the Otniel Prospect within the Chalkos Copper-Silver Project in Namibia.

The maiden drilling campaign follows the start of a 2,000 to 3,000-metre program that kicked off following the company's prior update on August 6, 2026. Hole DDOT002 returned 60.25 metres of visual copper mineralisation from 36.65 metres down-hole, including a 32.36-metre interval of strong visible mineralisation from 59.3 metres. Hole DDOT001 intersected 51.83 metres of mineralisation from 39.27 metres down-hole, including a 17.2-metre section of strong visible mineralisation from 58.37 metres.

Visual logging of the core identified a range of copper minerals, including chalcocite, cuprite, malachite, native copper, dioptase and chalcopyrite. Prior to the drilling program, surface exploration at the flagship Namibian asset identified outcropping visible copper mineralisation across a footprint exceeding 600 metres at the Otniel prospect and over 800 metres at the Donkey Hill target.

Drill core samples are currently being prepared and processed for laboratory analysis, with assay results expected in four to six weeks. Kaoko noted that visual estimates of mineral abundance are not a substitute for laboratory assays, which are required to determine actual grades and concentrations.

Drilling activity at Otniel is ongoing, with a third hole, DDOT003, currently underway to test the lateral extent of mineralisation. Further holes are planned to test additional extensions before the rig relocates to test the high-priority Donkey Hill target. The company is also investigating the mobilisation of an additional diamond rig to the project site.
