Karus Mining Appoints Chris Donaldson as CEO

Karus Mining Corp. has appointed Chris Donaldson as Chief Executive Officer and director, effective immediately. Donaldson succeeds interim CEO Andrew Kaip, who will remain on the board.
Donaldson brings 30 years of mining and capital markets experience, including executive roles with Vizsla Copper Corp., Western Copper and Gold, and Valkea Resources. The board approved 500,000 incentive stock options for Donaldson subject to a four-month hold period. Kaip stepped down after leading Karus through its CSE listing and drilling at the FG Gold project.
Karus owns a 100% interest in the 1,000-square-kilometre South Cariboo Gold District, featuring the FG Gold and Gold Creek projects in British Columbia. The company is advancing a 7,500-metre core drilling program at FG Gold, with assay results expected soon.
Incoming CEO Chris Donaldson noted that Karus enters this phase with two high-grade assets and an active drill program underway at FG Gold.
Nearby, Spanish Mountain Gold Ltd. reported drill results from its Feasibility Study program in July 2026, intersecting 252.3 metres grading 0.82 g/t gold, including 93.5 metres grading 1.32 g/t gold at its project.
