Kenorland Minerals Starts Phase 2 Drilling at Opinaca Gold Discovery
Kenorland Minerals Ltd. has commenced the Phase 2 diamond drill program at the Opinaca Project in the James Bay region of Quebec, backed by an approved summer exploration budget of $3.9 million from project owner Targa Exploration Corp.
The summer program comprises up to 4,400 metres of diamond drilling, alongside geological mapping and prospecting focused primarily on the Opinaca gold discovery. Planned drill hole fences are spaced 0.5 to 1 kilometre apart to evaluate the lateral continuity and scale of the mineralised system, following up on the Q4 2025 maiden drill program. That initial campaign totaled 3,665 metres across eight holes and established a widespread intrusion-hosted gold system over a four-kilometre target area. Drilling activities for the current phase are expected to conclude in early September 2026.

Kenorland originally staked the property before vending the project to Targa Exploration Corp. in exchange for equity consideration and a 3% net smelter return royalty while retaining project operatorship. Initial exploration began in 2023 with a regional till sampling program that led to gold anomalies and a consolidated land position totaling 85,267 hectares.
