Kincora Copper Limited has approved an extensive spring and summer exploration budget of up to A$3 million to complete more than 25,000 metres of air-core drilling across 17 targets in Central West New South Wales.

The planned campaign comprises 340 holes spanning four projects: Nyngan West, Fairholme, Cowal East, and Trundle. The work is designed to systematically test basement geology under shallow cover, following a hybrid prospect generator model where internal exploration upgrades targets ahead of larger-scale partner funding.

“Importantly, this work complements our hybrid prospect generator strategy. Following extensive independent, internal and next-generation technical reviews, we have commenced a formal process with potential new asset-level partners for a number of our more advanced and brownfield porphyry projects with strong initial interest. The planned sole funded drilling programs will complement this process.”

The upcoming field season marks a distinct shift for Nyngan West, which Kincora acquired as a wholly owned license in September 2024 with no prior drill testing. The board has now approved maiden air-core drilling across both ultramafic and Macquarie Arc porphyry targets at the project.

At Fairholme, where previous drilling by major operators focused on traditional porphyry models, Kincora plans to expand a structurally controlled gold system at the Gateway target from its current 1.6-kilometre strike to 2.6 kilometres. Air-core drilling at Fairholme is expected to commence immediately after the Christmas-New Year break. Meanwhile, at Cowal East, Atomionics Pte Ltd is scheduled to begin a quantum gravity survey in November 2026 to refine anomalies ahead of planned drilling lines.

The exploration update follows recent activity across the broader region, where Aeris Resources Limited reported an updated Group Mineral Resource of 61 million tonnes containing 950 kilotonnes of copper and 1,400 kilounces of gold at its Tritton operations on 29 July 2026.

Kincora reported a cash balance of A$12 million at the end of the June 2026 quarter, and expects its net cash position to increase further in September and the December quarter with additional receipt of proceeds from the US$10 million divestment of its Mongolian projects.
