Kirkland Lake Discoveries Corp. reported initial drill results from the newly renamed Mirado West zone at its Mirado project, located 18 kilometres south of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, intersecting 1.22 grams per tonne gold over 69.50 metres from 33.00 metres downhole in hole KLM26-037, including 5.67 grams per tonne gold over 12.00 metres.

The interval is part of the summer 2026 drill program across the KL South project. Hole KLM26-035 intersected multiple gold horizons, including 0.35 grams per tonne over 21.18 metres, 0.65 grams per tonne over 15.83 metres, 0.34 grams per tonne over 11.23 metres, 0.89 grams per tonne over 11.60 metres, and a deeper high-grade intercept of 36.72 grams per tonne gold over 1.01 metres.

The company stated that the mineralization is contiguous with the historical deposit, prompting the renaming of the MZ target to Mirado West. Step-out drilling extends known mineralization more than 600 metres west and expands the lateral mineralized footprint to over 1,300 metres wide.

“The discovery at Mirado West is a transformative milestone for Kirkland Lake Discoveries. Intercepting broad, near-surface mineralization validates our regional targeting and significantly scales up the project.” — Stefan Sklepowicz, Chief Executive Officer

Kirkland Lake Discoveries acquired a 100% undivided interest in the past-producing Mirado property in March 2026. The project hosts a historical inferred resource of 10.6 million tonnes at 1.29 grams per tonne gold, containing 442,000 ounces. Regionally, the company holds a 420-square-kilometre exploration portfolio covering key fault zones within the Abitibi Greenstone Belt.

Stakeholders can review the drilling data through an interactive 3D model hosted on MiningHub.

“Today we've essentially doubled the east-west extent of the Mirado deposit, with perhaps the best hole we've drilled to date in and around Mirado. This will have large implications in the future when we look to incorporate new drilling into a future resource update using both new expansion drilling and modern metals pricing and cutoff sensitivities.” — Denis Laviolette, Executive Chairman

Assay results are pending for 19 additional drill holes from the summer 2026 program, comprising nine holes from Mirado North and South, four holes from Mirado West, and six regional targets.
