Kirkland Lake Discoveries Hits 2.13 g/t Au Over 29 Metres in Mirado Expansion Drilling
Kirkland Lake Discoveries Corp. has returned assay results from four diamond drill holes at the Mirado gold system, extending the South Zone westward and intercepting mineralization at depth in the North Zone.
The ongoing drill program at KL South sits approximately 15 kilometres south of the company’s core land package in the Kirkland Lake gold camp of Ontario's Abitibi Greenstone Belt. The company acquired a 100% undivided interest in the project in March 2026, which hosts a historical inferred resource of 10.6 million tonnes at 1.29 g/t gold containing 442,000 ounces.
South Zone hole KLM26-029 intersected 2.13 g/t gold over 29.0 metres from 173 metres downhole, including a higher-grade interval of 3.37 g/t gold over 17.5 metres. A second step-out collar, hole KLM26-031, returned 2.11 g/t gold over 14.1 metres from 157 metres, including 2.74 g/t gold over 10.1 metres. Both intervals successfully extend the South Zone footprint westward.

Hole KLM26-028 tested both structural horizons, returning upper South Zone mineralization alongside a deeper North Zone intercept of 3.89 g/t gold over 2.14 metres from 401.3 metres downhole. This deeper composite places the North Zone extension at approximately 365 metres of vertical depth, supporting the stacked geometry of the deposit. Hole KLM26-027 returned 4.76 g/t gold over 6.65 metres from 8 metres in the North Zone.
Assays are being incorporated into an updated 3D model to refine true-width estimates and rank future collar locations.
Exploration work across the property continues, with assay results pending for 19 additional drill holes. This pending batch comprises nine holes from Mirado, six from the MZ target area, and four regional targets.
“We continue to expand the Mirado system in multiple directions,” said Stefan Sklepowicz, Chief Executive Officer of KLDC. “These results continue to push the system to the west with broad near-surface mineralization and high-grade deeper in the north. We eagerly await assays from the regional test holes that are well outside historic boundaries”
