Kobo Resources Expands Kobo Cup Community Initiative to Fourth Village

Kobo Resources Inc. has launched its KOBO CUP 2026 community event for the Kossou Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire, expanding the annual competition to a fourth participating village.
Following events in 2024 and 2025, the community tournament now incorporates Allai-Yaokro alongside returning partner villages Kossou, Bocabo, and Angossé. The initiative is supported by major partners including West African urban music label Coast 2 Coast Entertainment, Rockstone Drilling, and Forage FTE.
To mark the 2026 launch, Kobo has introduced a limited-edition supporter jersey featuring six traditional Adinkra symbols that represent leadership, resilience, adaptability, and community strength. The design also incorporates a subtle silhouette of Côte d’Ivoire’s iconic basilica at the base, with partner village names displayed on the sleeves.
Kobo holds a 100% interest in the Kossou Gold Project, which is situated approximately 20 kilometres northwest of the capital city of Yamoussoukro and directly adjacent to a major regional gold mine with established processing facilities.
CEO and Director Edward Gosselin noted that 100% of the proceeds generated from the sale of the limited-edition jerseys will be distributed directly among the four participating villages in keeping with the company's commitment to transparency and direct community impact.
