Kodiak Hits 0.70% CuEq Over 283.5 Metres in First-Ever Drilling at MPD Ketchan Deposit
Kodiak Copper Corp. has returned initial drill results from its summer 2026 campaign at the Ketchan deposit within the MPD copper-gold porphyry project in southern British Columbia, highlighted by an intersection of 0.70% copper equivalent over 283.5 metres in drill hole AG-26-019.
The company holds a 100% interest in the property, located within the Quesnel Terrane. The latest program marks Kodiak’s first drilling at the Ketchan deposit, focusing on shallow holes to test gaps and potential extensions across the block model.
Assay results from eight holes totaling 1,665 metres outline broad near-surface mineralization. Hole AG-26-019 was collared between 37.5 metres and 321 metres downhole, and included a higher-grade hydrothermal breccia interval of 1.02% copper equivalent over 108 metres from 85.5 metres to 193.5 metres. A second hole, AG-26-009, intersected 94.5 metres grading 0.37% copper equivalent from 46.5 metres depth.

The reported mineralized intercepts are anticipated to contribute to resource growth at Ketchan. An initial Mineral Resource Estimate published for MPD in 2025 outlined seven substantial deposits across the property, all of which remain open to expansion.
“Our first drilling at Ketchan has delivered an excellent start to the 2026 program with a high-grade, near-surface intersection that exceeded our expectations and represents the best hole ever drilled at this deposit,” said Claudia Tornquist, President & CEO of Kodiak Copper. “While today's results confirm the presence of high-grade mineralization at Ketchan and fill in gaps in the resource model, drilling beyond the northwestern and southeastern ends of the Ketchan deposit is aimed at expanding the resource footprint. We see considerable opportunity to continue growing and upgrading this important deposit at MPD as we continue to unlock the broader potential of MPD.”

Further assay results from the Ketchan deposit are expected within the coming weeks. Kodiak is advancing a planned 16,500-metre drill program across the property with two rigs operating, with work expected to continue into the fourth quarter of 2026 ahead of an updated Mineral Resource Estimate scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2027.
