Kootenay Silver Inc. has filed an independent National Instrument 43-101 technical report supporting the preliminary economic assessment for the La Cigarra silver project located in Chihuahua State, Mexico. The filing confirms the positive project economics previously disclosed to the market.

The technical report carries an effective date of January 15, 2026, and was prepared by Sacré-Davey Engineering. Contributions to the study came from Canenco Consulting Corp., AKF Mining Services Inc., Knight Piésold Consulting, and SGS Geological Services. The completed document is now accessible through SEDAR+.

The deposit lies approximately 26 kilometres from the city of Hidalgo del Parral, placing the operation within a well-established mining district that hosts long-running silver producers such as Santa Bárbara and San Francisco del Oro. The location provides the project with established regional infrastructure, including year-round road access, local electrical power, available water supplies, and access to an experienced local mining workforce.

Beyond the primary asset, Kootenay Silver holds a broader portfolio in the region, including the Promontorio and La Negra projects. Those combined assets host in excess of 207 million ounces of silver equivalent.

The technical report filing aligns with wider macroeconomic conditions across the precious metals sector. Silver is currently trading at $63.40 per ounce, representing a 9.08% increase over the 30-day period ending August 7, 2026. Reflecting the market session following the filing of the technical report, Kootenay Silver shares are currently trading up 3.17%.
