Krakatoa Resources Limited intersected multiple zones of high-grade gold and antimony from the first batch of assays from its 2026 drilling program at the Zopkhito Antimony-Gold Project in Georgia.

All four initial surface diamond drill holes intersected high-grade mineralization in Vein 6, alongside results from the first 10 underground core samples. Surface hole DD26ZOP001 returned 1.8 metres at 11.09 g/t gold and 3.56% antimony from 52.6 metres, including a 1.15-metre interval grading 10.86 g/t gold and 5.51% antimony.

Additional surface results include drill hole DD26ZOP002, which intersected 2.83 metres at 3.26 g/t gold and 5.72% antimony from 43.99 metres, featuring a 0.61-metre sample returning 15.3% antimony. Hole DD26ZOP004 returned 6.74 metres at 4.71 g/t gold and 0.88% antimony from 74.42 metres, including 0.76 metres at 11.65 g/t gold and 2.65% antimony. Underground coring from Adit 51 tested Vein 10, while drilling from Adit 118 targeted Veins 50 and 61. Hole UG26ZOP008 intersected 0.25 metres at 5.90 g/t gold from 0.93 metres, and UG26ZOP009 returned 0.86 metres at 1.43% antimony and 1.18 g/t gold.

"These initial results continue to demonstrate the scale and high-grade mineralisation of the Zopkhito deposit. Following on from last year, where we tested the system, this year we are extending our drilling focus targeting areas within the geological model that extend the footprint of the historical resource model."

"Surface drilling has successfully intersected the mineralised veins in the areas we had targeted, supporting our modelled mineralisation trends established using the historical data from the Soviet era of exploration."

— Mark Major, CEO

The exploration program is designed to convert the project's foreign resource estimate into a JORC 2012-compliant Mineral Resource Estimate later in 2026. The Zopkhito project features more than 25 kilometres of historical adit development completed between the 1930s and 1970s, which provides the primary infrastructure for current underground coring operations. Veins 50 and 61 sit outside the historical foreign resource estimate, indicating potential for a broader mineralised system.

Krakatoa holds an exclusive option to acquire up to an 80% interest in the project, having initiated the acquisition process with an initial 10% ownership stake. Surface diamond drilling and underground coring remain ongoing at the site as the company works toward delivering its maiden JORC-compliant resource.
