Lahontan Gold Intersects 10.7 Metres at 1.81 g/t Gold and 64.8 g/t Silver in Santa Fe Stockpile Drilling

Lahontan Gold Corp. has released additional results from its 2026 Sonic core drilling program at the Santa Fe Mine project in Nevada, highlighting an intercept of 10.7 metres grading 1.81 g/t gold and 64.8 g/t silver from a historic low-grade stockpile.
The Sonic drilling campaign is evaluating historic heap leach pads and stockpiles to define gold and silver resources suitable for future reprocessing at lower costs than mining fresh rock. The latest results come from a historic low-grade stockpile located adjacent to Heap Leach Pad Two. Across nine drill holes, the material averaged 1.96 g/t gold equivalent—comprising 1.64 g/t gold and 36.2 g/t silver—confirming mineralization at grades substantially higher than anticipated from the stockpile's historic classification.
The stockpiled material was originally mined from the Santa Fe open pit by previous operator Corona Gold and set aside for potential future processing. Cyanide-extractable gold assays ranged from 5% to 93% of corresponding fire assay values, averaging 43%, which suggests the material may be amenable to conventional heap leach processing.
The Santa Fe Mine project is a past-producing open-pit heap-leach operation that yielded 359,202 ounces of gold and 702,067 ounces of silver between 1988 and 1995.
“The results from the Sonic drilling of the "low-grade" stockpile adjacent to Heap Leach Pad Two are encouraging,” said Kimberly Ann, Founder, Chair, CEO, and President of Lahontan Gold Corp. “The stockpile consists of good grade and readily accessible previously mined material that could be potentially crushed and heap leached at relatively low cost. The results from the nine Sonic drill holes not only confirm the presence of gold and silver but also show that the grade of the stockpile is considerably higher than anticipated. Our attention now turns to the balance of the 2026 Sonic drilling program; 96 drill holes spread across the four historic heap leach pads. About 16 million tonnes of material were processed on these heap leach pads, residual gold and silver contained within the pads represent a potentially valuable source of low-cost future feed. Results from the initial Sonic drilling on Heap Leach Pad Two are expected shortly.”
Lahontan is advancing mine permitting activities with the objective of commencing construction in 2027 and plans to complete an updated Preliminary Economic Assessment for the project in 2026, including an analysis of sulfide resources.
