Lahontan Gold Corp. has appointed three new mining professionals to its leadership team as the company advances permitting for its flagship Santa Fe Mine project and targets a production restart in 2027.

The appointments include Tony Gesualdo as Vice President of Exploration, Michael Kubel as Senior Mine Engineer, and Jen Earle for Investor Relations and Business Development.

Gesualdo rejoins Lahontan after previously serving as Exploration Manager from 2020 to 2023, where he contributed to the initial Mineral Resource Estimate for the Santa Fe project in Nevada’s Walker Lane. Kubel brings over a decade of open-pit gold mining and heap-leach processing experience in Nevada, while Earle adds two decades of natural resources experience spanning capital markets and global investor engagement.

Lahontan’s primary focus remains the restart of the 28.3 km² Santa Fe Mine project. The initiative is supported by an updated mineral resource estimate released in August 2026, which expanded total project-wide resources by 22% to 2,385,000 gold equivalent ounces. This compares to approximately 1.95 million gold equivalent ounces reported in the 2024 estimate, representing a net increase of 435,000 contained ounces comprising 1,195,000 indicated ounces and 1,190,000 inferred ounces.

“Tony is a Lahontan veteran who previously managed our Santa Fe exploration team and made important contributions to the project's initial Mineral Resource Estimate. His return in a senior leadership role adds significant geological and exploration expertise as we advance the Santa Fe Mine and continue to evaluate opportunities to expand the Company's resource base. Michael brings more than a decade of Nevada open-pit gold mining and heap-leach experience, including mine planning, engineering and operational expertise. His practical experience will be particularly valuable as we move from permitting and mine planning toward construction and ultimately operations. We have known Jen for several years and are delighted to add her capital markets and investor engagement expertise to our team. Her international network and experience across the LSE, ASX and TSX markets will strengthen Lahontan's ability to communicate our strategy and growth opportunities to both institutional and private investors. Together, these additions significantly strengthen Lahontan's management team as we transition from mine developer to mine builder and operator, while continuing to build a company with multiple avenues for long-term growth.”

The company is also working to complete an updated Preliminary Economic Assessment for the Santa Fe Mine in 2026.
