Lake Victoria Gold Ltd. has completed initial spot repairs along the 14-kilometre access road connecting Katoro to the Imwelo Gold Project in Tanzania, while advancing site earthworks and infrastructure construction.

Repairs to the route were finished ahead of the wet season using quality laterite sourced from the mining licence, with compaction continuing in coordination with the Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency. At the Chato District site, clearing and topsoil stripping are underway across the pit, tailings storage facility, waste rock dump and dam sites, while bush clearing advances at Area C before moving to the process plant area.

Stripping and levelling of the run-of-mine pad has also commenced, with excavated material used to construct the western berm. Lake Victoria Gold plans to complete the process plant platform next, followed by civil works and tailings storage preparation.

Meanwhile, the construction camp is substantially complete with core utilities installed and the water system pressure-tested, establishing a facility that will transition into Imwelo's permanent operations camp.
