Laramide Resources Ltd. has acquired a 100% interest in exploration licences within Sweden’s Hotagen and Arjeplog-Arvidsjaur uranium provinces for $600,000 in cash and shares, establishing a foothold in a jurisdiction that recently overturned its uranium mining ban.

The acquisition covers properties including the Kläppibäcken Project, which spans over 1,700 hectares in the Hotagen district, and the Kaivaive 103 Licence in the Arjeplog project area. Consideration for the transaction comprises $300,000 in cash—split into a $50,000 deposit already paid and $250,000 due by August 31, 2026—alongside $300,000 satisfied by issuing 503,216 common shares from treasury. Laramide also agreed to milestone payments of $150,000 upon delineating an aggregate resource of at least 5 million pounds of uranium and $250,000 upon reaching 10 million pounds.

The transaction expands the company's portfolio beyond its existing development and exploration assets in the United States and Australia. Initial exploration work at the Swedish project licences will focus on digitizing historical data, integrating geophysical and geochemical datasets, ranking priority targets, and preparing for modern field verification and drill targeting. Uranium traded at $87.25 per pound, representing a 2.47% increase over the 30-day period ended August 14, 2026.
