Legacy Gold Intersects 1.44 g/t Gold Over 24.4m at Baner
Legacy Gold has intersected broad, near-surface gold mineralization in the first reverse circulation (RC) hole of its 2026 drill program at the Baner property in Idaho. Hole LG26-005 returned 0.86 g/t Au over 45.7m starting just 2.1m vertically below surface, including a sub-interval of 1.44 g/t Au over 24.4m and a higher-grade strike of 15.8 g/t Au over 1.5m.
The result extends the known Main Zone mineralization 220m to the north, confirming that the high-grade components identified in previous work persist along the strike. The company is currently evaluating whether the 15.8 g/t Au intercept corresponds to a historically mined vein at the nearby Zenith Mine workings.
Legacy Gold shares are currently trading at $0.94, up 1.08% on August 5, 2026. The stock saw increased activity in the session, with volume currently at 12,000 shares, representing 156% of the 50-day average volume.
The company has finished Phase 1 of its 2026 work program and is now conducting Phase 2 RC drilling. While short-term drilling progress will be slowed by a mechanical issue, operations are expected to accelerate shortly.
“The RC portion of this summer's exploration program is expected to increase the footage drilled and accelerate the return of assay results”
— Brian Hinchcliffe, Executive Chairman and CEO
A replacement engine for the RC rig is scheduled for installation later this week. Once completed, the company expects to resume drilling and maintain activity through August and into September 2026.
LG26-005 was concluded earlier than originally planned to manage the current budget, leaving the strongest gold-in-soil values in the target area untested. This provides a specific priority target for the ongoing exploration program.
