Li-FT Power Commences Drilling at Adina-Galinée Lithium Project
Li-FT Power Ltd. (TSXV: LIFT) has officially launched its 2026 exploration program at the Adina-Galinée Lithium Project in Québec, Canada. The campaign features a major 38,970-metre diamond drilling program comprising 163 holes. This work aims to both expand and de-risk the existing mineral resource through infill and step-out drilling, with pierce points set at approximately 75-metre intervals. The company is testing the mineralization to depths of up to 400 metres below the surface to better define the geometry of the spodumene pegmatite complex.
This drilling marks a pivotal moment for the company, as it represents the first exploration effort conducted on the property since its recent consolidation. Li-FT Power has pursued an aggressive land acquisition strategy in Québec, eventually bringing the complex under its control through the purchase of Winsome Resources Limited and subsequent agreements with Azimut Exploration and SOQUEM.
"The commencement of drilling at Adina-Galinée marks the first exploration program on this pegmatite complex under single ownership. Having consolidated the district through the Winsome acquisition and our agreements with Azimut and SOQUEM, we can now approach Adina-Galinée the way it should be explored, as one contiguous system. With nearly 39,000 m of drilling planned, this program is designed to both grow and de-risk the current resource, while our surface programs across Cancet, Tilly, Sirmac-Clapier, and Nottaway work to surface the next generation of targets in Québec."
— Francis MacDonald, President & CEO
Beyond the primary drilling at Adina-Galinée, the company is deploying extensive surface exploration across its wider Québec portfolio. This includes comprehensive till sampling and geological mapping on the Cancet, Tilly, Nottaway, and Sirmac-Clapier properties. These efforts are intended to generate and rank new drill targets across the company’s regional ground.
While the company focuses heavily on these hard rock lithium assets, its corporate strategy remains broad. Li-FT Power has expanded its portfolio reach outside of its primary Québec and Northwest Territories lithium projects by securing an option to acquire the Renard diamond mine. This move fits into the broader operational oversight currently maintained by management as they balance their development-stage lithium pipeline with these additional asset options. The company intends to continue its systematic exploration approach throughout the remainder of the year, with the current 38,970-metre drill campaign serving as the immediate operational priority for its technical teams on the ground in the James Bay region.
