Lightning Minerals Defines Two New Gold Targets At Mt Turner Western Zone

Lightning Minerals Ltd has defined two new gold targets within the 5-kilometre-long Western Zone at its Mt Turner project in northern Queensland, following the interpretation of results from a recently completed soil geochemistry program.
The work identifies two distinct target areas within the Western Zone, which represents the company’s second major gold-bearing structural corridor alongside the 14-kilometre Drummer Fault. The northern target features a 1,000-metre-long continuous gold anomaly associated with a broader 1,400-metre multi-element hydrothermal footprint. This northern gold anomaly remains open to the south and east. In the south, soil sampling has outlined four sub-parallel trends extending 200 to 300 metres along strike, returning peak gold-in-soil values of 330 ppb Au. Rock-chip sampling across the corridor returned grades up to 1.19 g/t Au and 38.80 g/t Ag from a mineralised rhyolite breccia.
Lightning Minerals designated Mt Turner as its flagship asset following an April 2026 strategic reset that refocused the company on gold and copper exploration.
To advance the prospect, the company proposes a low-cost follow-up program consisting of approximately 100 additional soil samples to extend coverage to the east and south, alongside systematic rock-chip sampling over the southern trends. Lightning Minerals also plans to excavate five trenches to bedrock across the northern gold trend at approximately 200-metre spacing to test tenor and structural continuity, subject to regulatory and access approvals.
“These results represent an important step forward in our systematic evaluation of the broader Mt Turner Gold and Copper Project, defining two significant gold target areas within the five-kilometre Western Zone corridor.”

These field activities form part of the company's broader operational plan as it works toward defining a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate at the project targeted for 2027. Meanwhile, regional activity in the Georgetown district includes a significant Mineral Resource update for the Red Dam deposit announced by Savannah Goldfields Limited in July 2026, which increased the resource to 396 kt at 4.6 g/t Au containing 58,600 ounces of gold.
