Lion Copper & Gold Defines Maiden Resource for Bear Deposit

Lion Copper & Gold has released a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate for the Bear Deposit in Nevada, declaring 6.71 billion pounds of contained copper in the Indicated category and 8.77 billion pounds in the Inferred category.

The estimate, which utilizes a 0.10% copper cut-off grade, quantifies 1,064 million tonnes at 0.29% copper for the Indicated resource and 1,770 million tonnes at 0.22% copper for the Inferred portion. Lion developed the model using 79 drill holes and 25,825 assays, with an effective date of July 21, 2026.

The stock is currently trading at $0.215, down 24.56% on August 4, 2026. This market reaction follows the announcement, which highlighted that Bear remains in the development stage and that any path to production relies on future engineering, permitting, financing, and securing necessary property interests.

Lion expects to file the supporting NI 43-101 Technical Report within 45 days. The company is concurrently managing a Definitive Feasibility Study for the wider Yerington Copper Project, with future work at Bear intended to evaluate expansion and upgrading strategies for the newly defined mineral inventory.
