Lithium Africa Hits 1.98% Li2O in Côte d'Ivoire

Lithium Africa Corp. has defined a second primary spodumene pegmatite trend at its Agboville license in Côte d'Ivoire, with rock sampling returning up to 1.98% Li2O.

Nineteen spodumene-bearing pegmatite samples collected along the 2.8-kilometer Kanien Trend returned grades up to 1.98% Li2O, with 14 of the 19 samples assaying above 1.0% Li2O. The Agboville license covers 399.27 square kilometers within the wider Adzopé District.

Lithium Africa advances exploration across the Adzopé District through a 50/50 joint venture with GFL International Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Ganfeng Lithium Group Co., Ltd. The joint venture covers approximately 485 square kilometers of granted licenses across the district.

Alongside the Kanien Trend at Agboville, the company previously defined the multi-kilometer Saby Trend at the Adzopé license, where a 2,000-meter reverse circulation drill program is ongoing.

Drilling on the 2,000 m RC program on the Saby Trend at Adzopé is expected to resume in the coming weeks following a pause for the rainy season. Assay results and associated QA/QC from the drill program are targeted for release in Q4 2026.

The company is also conducting regional mapping, geochronology, and granite geochemistry studies across the Adzopé District to prioritize future trenching and drilling targets.
