Lodestar Intersects High-Grade Gold-Silver Veins and Bulk-Tonnage Oxide at Gold Run
Lodestar Metals has intersected 16.8 metres grading 6.07 g/t gold and 41.1 g/t silver, including a 3-metre sub-interval of 31.9 g/t gold and 181.6 g/t silver, in the first phase of its maiden 2,680-metre drilling program at the Gold Run project in Nevada.
The drilling at the Robbers Knob target has identified three distinct mineralisation styles. These include broad, near-surface oxide gold-silver zones—such as 70.1 metres grading 0.54 g/t gold and 6.7 g/t silver—along with higher-grade structurally controlled shoots and a deeper polymetallic zone. The latter, intersected in hole LSRC02 starting at 161.5 metres, returned 15.2 metres grading 0.37 g/t gold, 16 g/t silver, 0.40% zinc, and 0.27% lead, indicating a previously unrecognised target horizon beneath the shallow oxide system.
“These initial results from Robbers Knob validate our geological model and confirm a robust gold-silver system with both bulk-tonnage oxide mineralisation and structurally controlled higher-grade zones”
— Lowell Kamin, President & CEO
The company stated that the findings align with interpreted northwest-trending faults and geophysical data, including chargeability anomalies that extend beyond the current drill footprint. These features provide vectors for follow-up testing of the system’s scale and continuity. Lodestar’s shares are currently trading at $0.08, up 14.29% in the session coinciding with the release of these results.
The maiden program comprised 18 holes in total. While the first six were focused on Robbers Knob, the company is awaiting assays for the remaining 12 holes, totalling 1,537 metres. This pending data covers three additional priority targets: Gomes, Black Diamond, and Crown North. These targets were selected based on historical gold-silver mineralisation and induced polarisation anomalies, with Crown North specifically testing the projected northern extension of a known epithermal gold deposit.
