Lodestar Minerals Limited has secured sole access rights to the Pacífico copper-molybdenum-gold porphyry project in Chile’s Atacama Region through an option agreement backed by an initial cash payment of US$30,000.

The agreement, executed via subsidiary Tesoro Andes SpA with Minera Bornita SpA, covers five optioned exploration licences and three contiguous licence applications lodged by Lodestar. The consolidated land package spans approximately 22 square kilometres and covers a six-kilometre prospective porphyry corridor historically explored as separate areas.

Under the five-year agreement, Lodestar must pay escalating annual instalments starting at US$60,000 in year one, rising to US$120,000 in year two, US$290,000 in year three, and US$600,000 in year four. Exercising the option requires a final payment of US$3 million, alongside a 1.5% net smelter return royalty. Lodestar assumes full responsibility for exploration programs, governmental costs, and concession maintenance.

The project database contains approximately 8,039 metres of historical diamond drilling across 16 holes completed by First Quantum Minerals and Hudbay Minerals. The historical drilling intersected porphyritic intrusions carrying copper and molybdenum mineralisation from near surface to depths exceeding 700 metres, while the central corridor target remains underexplored and has never been drilled.

“Pacífico gives Lodestar and its shareholders a compelling opportunity to consolidate and systematically evaluate an approximately six-kilometre prospective porphyry trend that has previously been explored as separate project areas.”

— Coraline Blaud, CEO & Executive Director

Lodestar’s initial work program will integrate historical drilling and geophysical surveys with new geological mapping and surface sampling across the Central target area.

“Our primary focus is to integrate the historical drilling and geophysical surveys with new geological mapping and surface sampling, particularly across the Central target. This work will be used to define the highest-priority targets for a Lodestar drilling program proposed for Q2 CY2027.”

The Pacífico acquisition expands Lodestar’s South American footprint alongside its Los Loros and Three Saints projects in the Atacama Region. Broader regional activity includes Fitzroy Minerals reporting copper drill results at the Buen Retiro project in July 2026, featuring an intersection of 111.9 metres at 0.97% copper from 21.1 metres. Lodestar has scheduled a maiden drilling program at Pacífico for Q2 CY2027.
