Lotus Creek Exploration Inc. has advanced development across its Alberta portfolio, pushing corporate production past approximately 5,500 barrels of oil equivalent per day during the final week of August 2026, comprising 72 per cent light oil and NGLs.

The output exceeds the company's previously announced 2026 annual average guidance of 3,800 to 4,200 barrels of oil equivalent per day, alongside fourth-quarter guidance of 4,800 to 5,200 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Second-quarter production stood at 3,417 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

At the Wilson Creek light oil asset, production from the first 10 gross (9.9 net) Belly River wells reached the battery's design capacity of approximately 5,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. That milestone arrives roughly 12 months ahead of the original development schedule. During the second quarter of 2026, the company redesigned downhole configurations at the project to improve operational efficiency and production.

An additional 2.0 gross (2.0 net) wells sit in the final stages of equipping and are scheduled to come on stream in September 2026.

The initial phase of development was designed to test multi-zone light oil potential across four of six targeted Belly River zones, establishing an inventory of more than 100 identified drilling opportunities. With existing infrastructure capacity substantially utilized, Lotus Creek is preparing for a subsequent phase of development. That program will incorporate additional infrastructure capacity and the acquisition of additional seismic data to further delineate the drilling inventory.

Because the recently commissioned wells remain early in their production histories, management considers it premature to revise annual guidance at this stage.
