Lux Copper Launches Maiden Drilling at Baird Project in Alaska

Lux Copper Corp. Ltd has commenced its maiden drilling program at the Baird Copper Project in Alaska, deploying two drill rigs to test high-priority targets at the Omar and Frost prospects.
The campaign follows geophysical and geological reinterpretation by the company and aims to follow up historical intercepts, including 37.7 metres grading 2.45% copper, which featured a 4.9-metre section at 10.23% copper. Field preparations since July involved expanding the local exploration camp's capacity from 15 to 30 people to support the operations.
The company acquired the Baird Project on 21 November 2024 through the issuance of 20,000,000 fully paid ordinary shares and 16,500,000 options. The current field work follows the company's initial public offering on the Australian Securities Exchange on 17 July 2026, which raised $15,000,000 through the issue of 60,000,000 shares at $0.25 each. In a July update, Lux anticipated drilling would begin in mid-August, and operations have now commenced with two rigs on site.
“The current drilling program is designed to target high-priority areas such as Omar and Frost where historical results have shown exceptional potential despite the limited work completed. We believe this program will be the beginning of an exciting journey for Lux.”
— James Warren, Chief Executive Officer
First assay results from the maiden drill program are expected in October 2026.
