Lynas Posts $222.4m NPAT And Record Revenue on Higher Sales
Lynas Rare Earths Limited delivered a Net Profit After Tax of $222.4 million for the year ending 30 June 2026, marking a significant increase from $8.0 million in the previous financial year.
Annual revenue rose to $977.9 million, compared to $556.5 million in FY25, supported by a record average selling price of A$80.7 per kilogram across all rare earth products. NdPr sales volume increased by 12% to 7,337 tonnes, up from 6,555 tonnes in FY25, alongside an 11% increase in total rare earth oxide sales to 12,122 tonnes.

Closing cash, cash equivalents and short-term deposits reached $1,209.1 million at the end of the period, up from $166.5 million as of 30 June 2025. The capital position was bolstered by the company's equity raising, which comprised a $750 million institutional placement and an approximately $182 million Share Purchase Plan to support the Towards 2030 growth strategy.

Operational milestones during the period included the first production of Samarium oxide in March at the Lynas Malaysia plant and the completion of a scoping study for the development of the Mt Weld Carbonatite. Lynas is now progressing further stages of the feasibility assessment for the carbonatite deposit.
The company is also working towards a definitive agreement with LS Eco Energy for a long-term metal processing arrangement at a new rare earth metal making facility in Vietnam.
