Manuka Resources Limited has recommenced gold production at its Wonawinta processing facility in New South Wales, utilizing more than 50,000 tonnes of stockpiled gold ore grading approximately 1.1g/t gold.

The material has been delivered from the company’s 100%-owned Mt Boppy gold mine and is targeted for processing at a rate of 125,000 to 140,000 tonnes over the next three months. The restart follows an extensive five-month recommissioning phase that included upgrades to power generation, laboratory facilities, and key components of the processing plant.

The 100%-owned Wonawinta project features a fully constructed 1Mtpa processing plant that previously produced silver for the company until late 2022. Gold ore processed at the facility is sourced from the Mt Boppy project located 50 kilometres east of Cobar.

A previous Cobar Basin production plan announced on 30 May 2025 had targeted the commencement of production in calendar Q1 2026. Gold production ultimately recommenced on 21 August 2026, with silver production now targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026.

“Today marks an important milestone for Manuka as we commence the restart of gold production at Wonawinta following an intensive recommissioning program.”

— Dennis Karp, Executive Chairman

Following the initial gold restart, Manuka will focus on ramping up processing from Mt Boppy while completing the remaining plant installation and upgrades required for silver production. Equipment for a new de-slime circuit and associated plant upgrades continues to arrive on site. The circuit is designed to improve the processing performance of the clay-rich Wonawinta silver ores.

Once silver production commences in Q4 2026, both gold and silver ores will be fed simultaneously through the plant.

“This is the beginning of what we expect to be a sustained period of precious metals production for Manuka. We are also continuing the upgrades required for silver production, targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026, providing Manuka with exposure to both gold and silver.”

— Dennis Karp, Executive Chairman

The dual-metal strategy is designed to provide the company with ongoing operational exposure to both gold and silver across its Cobar Basin assets.
