Maritana Minerals Advances Early Works at Black Swan Processing Hub

Maritana Minerals Limited is progressing early construction and infrastructure workstreams at the Black Swan Processing Hub in Western Australia as the company moves to transition into a standalone gold producer.

GR Engineering Services has mobilised to site to undertake demolition, primary crushing area preparation, and bulk earthworks. The work program follows front-end engineering design and pre-feasibility studies to refurbish the former nickel plant into a 2.5 million tonnes per annum gold circuit.

The project holds its Mining Development and Closure Plan and Works Approval, while the Clearing Permit for the Carbon in Leach circuit is moving through final approvals. Flow Water Services has been engaged to refurbish the existing borefield for construction water supply.

Accommodation capacity has also expanded. The first-stage construction camp has been operational since August 3, 2026, and a second-stage 57-room expansion is now complete. A contract for a permanent 60-room camp has been awarded, with the facility expected to be operational from January 2027.

Long-lead procurement, including pre-leach thickeners and replacement mill motors, continues alongside detailed engineering to protect the development schedule. Maritana targets first gold production at the project in the second half of calendar 2027.
