Maronan Metals Appoints Andrew Graham as Managing Director and CEO
Maronan Metals Limited has appointed Andrew Graham as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, concluding an executive leadership transition process that began earlier this year.
Mr Graham, an underground base and precious metals executive with 30 years of industry experience, is scheduled to commence in the role on 23 November 2026. He will also join the board as managing director upon his arrival.
The appointment follows a comprehensive executive search conducted by the board after Maronan announced in May that current managing director Richard Carlton would step down. Mr Carlton will remain on the board as a non-executive director following a short handover period once Mr Graham takes up the post.
Incoming CEO Andrew Graham previously served as general manager with MMG Limited, where he managed the re-engineering, approval, and recommencement of construction at the Dugald River underground mine in North West Queensland.
Maronan Chairman Simon Bird said the leadership change aligns with the company's operational roadmap for the Maronan Project.
"On behalf of the Board, I am delighted to welcome Andrew to Maronan at a pivotal time in the Company's development. Over the next two years we intend to grow and upgrade the Maronan Mineral Resource, complete Preliminary Feasibility and Definitive Feasibility Studies and obtain a Mining Lease. Andrew's record in taking underground base metals projects from study through financing and into production - including Dugald River, in the same province as Maronan - makes him the right leader for that work."
"Andrew combines deep technical and operating credentials with genuine standing in the capital markets, and he knows North West Queensland well. The Board looks forward to working with him to build Maronan into a significant Australian silver- lead and copper-gold producer."
— Simon Bird, Chairman
The leadership transition coincides with an active operational period for the company. Maronan anticipates releasing an updated mineral resource estimate for the project in the second half of 2026 as it advances preliminary feasibility workstreams and permitting studies.
