Maronan Metals Intersects Shallow Copper-Gold North of Starter Zone

Maronan Metals Limited has returned strong shallow copper-gold and silver-lead assay results from two drill holes testing the northern extension of the Starter Zone at the Maronan Project in northwest Queensland.
Drilling across holes MRN26004 and MRN26008 has intersected copper-gold mineralisation north of the 2025 Indicated resource boundary, with intercepts including 20.0 metres at 0.83% copper and 0.42g/t gold from 257 metres in hole MRN26008, which included a 4.5-metre interval grading 1.50% copper and 0.68g/t gold from 268.2 metres.
Hole MRN26004 intersected multiple shallow copper-gold intervals, including 8.9 metres at 1.03% copper and 0.61g/t gold from 297.1 metres, 10.0 metres at 0.73% copper and 0.33g/t gold from 315 metres, and 12.0 metres at 0.86% copper and 0.88g/t gold from 339 metres. Both drill holes also intercepted silver-lead mineralisation within the footwall Eastern Horizon, including a 4.0-metre interval at 4.4% lead and 107g/t silver from 432.57 metres in MRN26004.
Maronan has completed 14,000 metres of its planned 40,000-metre drilling program. The expanded campaign is backed by a $22 million strategic investment completed by Kinterra Capital in May.
“We talk a lot about how good the Silver-Lead resource is at Maronan, but we also have a substantial copper-gold resource that contributes significant value to the project. These infill holes stepping out to the north of our existing indicated copper resource reinforce that copper will be an important part of the Maronan project.”
— Mr Richard Carlton, Managing Director
The company plans to use the ongoing drilling data to convert Inferred Mineral Resources to Indicated status in support of a pre-feasibility study. Maronan anticipates releasing an updated mineral resource estimate for the project in the second half of 2026, alongside further assay results from the active program as they become available.
