Marquee Launches Yindi Gold Drilling
Marquee Resources Limited has mobilized a drill rig to begin its first-phase reverse circulation drilling program at the Yindi Gold Project, with drilling expected to commence on or around 18 September 2026.
The initial campaign comprises eight holes totaling approximately 1,125 metres to test the project's central corridor. The program includes six Priority 1 holes targeting top geostatistical clusters and two Priority 2 step-out holes testing adjacent structural extensions.
The central corridor features a 4.0 km by 1.7 km east-west gold-in-soil dispersion halo on the southern nose of the Bulyairdie Monzogranite. While historical aircore drilling intersected regolith gold, including 8 metres at 0.89 g/t gold from 56 metres, the underlying fresh rock remains largely untested. The current program aims to drill through the regolith and test the fresh rock directly for a primary gold source.
“We are moving Yindi from target definition into drilling, with a focused program to test our highest- priority gold corridor.”
— Charles Thomas, Executive Chairman and Managing Director
Drill positions were prioritized using over 6,000 soil samples and 577 historical drill holes, applying a geostatistical gold-arsenic ranking filtered with antimony and iron.
Drilling will be carried out by Kennedy Drilling and is expected to take approximately 14 days. Samples will be collected via a rig-mounted cone splitter and submitted to ALS in Perth for 50-gram fire assays and a 48-element suite.
