Maverick Minerals Australia Completes Airborne Geophysical Survey at Viper Project

Maverick Minerals Australia Limited has completed high-resolution airborne magnetic, radiometric, and digital elevation model surveys across its Viper Project tenements in the West Arunta region of Western Australia, identifying three priority target areas for ground-based follow-up.

The final geophysical data, acquired at 50-metre line spacing across tenements E80/5872, E80/5873, and E80/6137, have been merged with publicly available regional datasets from the Geological Survey of Western Australia. The integration sharpens basement structural and lithological trend definitions and resolves subtle magnetic features situated beneath shallow sand cover.

An integrated review of the survey data and regional geology highlighted three priority target areas designated as Viper East within tenement E80/5873, Viper Central within E80/5872, and Viper West within E80/6137.

Maverick designates the Viper Project as its flagship exploration asset, comprising a contiguous landholding of approximately 1,470 square kilometres. Maverick completed the acquisition of the project tenements from Caprice Resources for an initial cash consideration of $2.7 million.

The target selection remains preliminary and conceptual, focusing on geological settings prospective for carbonatite-hosted rare earth element and niobium systems, iron oxide copper-gold deposits, and structurally controlled gold and base-metal mineralisation.

To advance the targeting process, Atlas Geophysics has been engaged to conduct first-pass ground gravity surveys across the three priority areas. The program will use a 400 by 400 metre station spacing pattern designed to map density contrasts, refine target geometry, and rank anomalies for subsequent drill testing.

Subsequent exploration steps will incorporate geological mapping, rock-chip and soil sampling, and 3D modelling to define specific drill targets. Any future drilling operations remain subject to technical results, land access agreements, heritage clearances, and statutory approvals.

The project is situated in a geological district that has seen active regional exploration, including high-grade niobium assay results reported at the Luni deposit by WA1 Resources Ltd.
