Max Power Hits Deep Fault and Expands Saskatchewan Land Holding to 2.5 Million Acres

MAX Power Mining Corp. has intersected a major deep crustal fault and recorded its highest natural hydrogen readings to date at the Lawson Complex in south-central Saskatchewan, while expanding its permitted land position in the province by 25% to approximately 2.5 million acres.
Ongoing commercial validation drilling at the Lawson 4 well—located over 2 kilometres west of the completed Lawson 3 well—encountered the deep crustal fault or conduit at 2,310.5 metres. Drilling advanced into the Precambrian basement complex to 2,332.2 metres, recovering 41.35 metres of core. An additional 29.7 metres of core was recovered from the basal Interlake Formation, offering potential for a separate helium system.
MAX Power previously confirmed Canada's first subsurface natural hydrogen system at the Lawson discovery in January 2026. The company’s land position has now grown to approximately 2.5 million acres following the addition of eight parcels covering 470,000 acres, including the Genesis, Rider 2, and Fox Valley permits.
Building on data from Lawson 3 and Lawson 4, the technical team is preparing the company's largest step-out drill hole to date. The Lawson 5 well will target a position 27 to 31 kilometres to the northeast, flanking the Salt Wall to test the outer extent of the system. Exploration updates are anticipated in September 2026, followed by a completions test to evaluate gas composition, deliverability, and commerciality.

Completions and testing will run in parallel with expanded exploratory drilling across the 1,224-square-kilometre Lawson Project area and the broader Genesis Trend.
