Metal Bank has shifted its development strategy away from the Whiteheads Project to prioritise first production at the larger Livingstone Gold Project in Western Australia, scheduling a diamond drilling program for September 2026.

Previous company announcements focused on advancing the Seven Leaders deposit at Whiteheads toward production. Under the revised plan, Metal Bank is accelerating the Homestead and Winja deposits at Livingstone toward a targeted production start in 2027.

The September diamond drilling program will provide necessary geotechnical data and metallurgical samples to support advanced mine planning for the Homestead deposit. The Homestead and Winja deposits hold a combined JORC Mineral Resource Estimate of 1.129 million tonnes at 1.36 g/t gold for 49,600 ounces, with 73 percent classified as Indicated and 27 percent as Inferred. A Mining Lease Application for both deposits is currently in progress.

Following Homestead, the company intends to develop the nearby Kingsley deposit, where a Mining Lease application was recently lodged. Kingsley contains an Inferred Mineral Resource of 1.68 million tonnes at 1.35 g/t gold for 73,000 ounces.

“We have carefully assessed the relative economics and shareholder value of commencing production at Seven Leaders versus Homestead. With gold prices now significantly higher than the A$4,500/oz assumption used in the Livingstone MRE, together with Livingstone's substantially larger Resource base and the opportunity to expedite production from Homestead, followed by Kingsley and further targeted expansions, we believe Livingstone offers a more compelling pathway to scalable gold production in WA.”

“Accordingly, we are prioritising our production plans at Homestead and Kingsley while continuing to grow the Resource base at Whiteheads. Whiteheads has several compelling targets supported by historical production and drilling, and our focus will be on advancing these opportunities to provide a clear pathway to sustained production beyond the initial Seven Leaders starter pit.”
— Tim Gilbert, Chief Executive Officer

Work on the Whiteheads tenements continues with a focus on regional exploration to expand resources from alternative target areas prior to any future mining operations.
