Miata Metals Corp. (MMET) has announced a significant new gold discovery at the Puma East target, located within its Sela Creek project in Suriname. The discovery, which stems from the company's ongoing 25,000-metre diamond drilling program, sits approximately 3 kilometres southeast of the explorer’s established Jons Trend-Big Berg corridor. Initial results from the first four drill holes confirm multiple mineralized centres across the project area, with geological characteristics that closely mirror the company's flagship zone.

The company reported several notable intercepts from the initial four-hole campaign at Puma East. Highlights include hole 26DDH-PME-002, which returned 17.19 metres at 3.14 g/t gold from 67.31 metres depth, a section that included a higher-grade sub-interval of 7.09 metres at 5.64 g/t gold. Another hole, 26DDH-PME-004, intercepted a broad zone of mineralization measuring 21.64 metres at 1.70 g/t gold. These intersections are supported by structural controls and visible gold identified during the logging process.

Miata Metals maintains a primary focus on the Suriname greenstone belt, where it currently holds a 70% interest in both the Sela Creek and Nassau gold projects.
