Drilling defines high grade zone at T-13 West, Otavi Project

Midas Minerals Ltd (ASX: MM1) has reported new infill drill results from its Otavi Copper Project in Namibia, highlighting significant copper and silver mineralisation at the T-13 deposit. The latest assays from the Main and West zones confirm the continuity of high-grade copper-silver grades, with results from the West Zone revealing a high-grade core that had not been fully captured in previous, wider-spaced drilling.

Key intercepts from the Main Zone include 30.1 metres at 5.35% CuEq from 325.6 metres. In the West Zone, drilling returned 31.4 metres at 2.58% CuEq from 335.7 metres, including a higher-grade interval of 15.0 metres at 3.87% CuEq. These findings demonstrate that the West Zone contains a more robust mineralised core than earlier assessments suggested.

The company is currently managing a broad exploration program with six active drill rigs across the broader Otavi project. This ongoing work is focused on refining the geometry of the deposit and testing the 4.6-kilometre-long prospect for additional high-grade zones. The identification of mineralisation zonation—where silver-rich chalcocite and bornite transition to low-silver chalcopyrite—is expected to serve as a key exploration tool for identifying further core zones as the campaign progresses.
