Midland Exploration Inc. and partner Wallbridge Mining Company Ltd are mobilizing field crews and a diamond drill rig to the Casault gold property in Quebec to commence a 3,000-metre diamond drilling campaign.

The program comprises 10 to 12 drill holes designed to test more than 15 newly recognized exploration targets generated from recent structural and geophysical interpretations. The current effort scales up operations compared to the previous Casault drilling campaign launched in September 2024, which comprised 1,100 metres across five holes.

Drilling will initially focus on the Vortex gold occurrence and an interpreted eastern extension. Wallbridge plans to complete 5 to 6 drill holes totalling approximately 1,500 to 1,750 metres to test the eastern extension of the shear-hosted gold mineralization, which could potentially increase the strike length of the Vortex Zone by approximately 1,000 metres. Historical drilling at Vortex in 2017 traced gold mineralization within a corridor approximately 50 metres wide and 1,200 metres along strike, yielding significant intercepts including 1.30 g/t gold over 23.5 metres in hole CAS-17-095 and 1.38 g/t gold over 26.5 metres in hole CAS-17-096.

The campaign will also test the C2 target, located approximately 4 kilometres southwest of the Vortex Zone, with an initial three-hole program totalling 750 to 1,000 metres. Additional targets include the intersection of the Sunday Lake Deformation Zone and the Fontina cross-fault, alongside untested induced polarization conductivity anomalies along the Lac du Doigt fault zone.

Regional exploration activity across the wider district includes work by Maple Gold Mines Ltd., which reported drill results from the Joutel Gold Project extending high-grade mineralization with an intercept of 8.6 g/t gold over 4.2 metres. Field crews are expected to complete the planned Casault meterage over the coming weeks.
