Minrex Resources Limited has returned high-grade gold and silver intercepts from surface in maiden assay results from the first ten holes of an infill drilling program at the Barje deposit within the Tlamino Gold-Silver Project in southern Serbia.

The drilling tested the eastern extent of the mineralised system. Hole BAR040 returned 34.75 metres, including 11.4 metres grading 1.09 g/t gold equivalent from zero depth, followed by 10.6 metres at 4.04 g/t gold equivalent from 37.1 metres, which included a 2.5-metre section running 10.05 g/t gold equivalent.

Other notable holes included BAR034, which intercepted 4.7 metres at 6.86 g/t gold equivalent from 10.0 metres and 3.55 metres at 9.01 g/t gold equivalent from 63.7 metres. Hole BAR033 returned 2.5 metres at 11.74 g/t gold equivalent from 29.4 metres, while BAR036 intersected 28.5 metres at 1.26 g/t gold equivalent from 26.5 metres. Hole BAR041 yielded 12.8 metres at 2.43 g/t gold equivalent from 32.4 metres.

Minrex designates the Barje deposit as the cornerstone of its flagship project in southern Serbia, acquired through a statutory plan of arrangement merger with Electrum Discovery Corp. completed in April 2026.

“Barje is the cornerstone of Tlamino, but it is only one outcropping expression of a much larger hydrothermal system. This first tranche of results confirm the deposit behaves as modelled, with high-grade mineralisation from surface in the east and grade continuity through the breccia core that underpins the resource.” — Max Piirto, CEO

All nine holes drilled within the resource envelope intersected gold and silver mineralisation as anticipated. The company interprets holes BAR040 and BAR041 as potential extensions of the shallow, high-grade mineralised envelope in the south-central portion of the deposit.

Following these initial results, Minrex has expanded its total 2026 drilling program to approximately 9,000 metres. This comprises about 3,500 metres of resource delineation and an expanded greenfield exploration program of approximately 5,500 metres focused on testing the Barje-Liska corridor.

“Drilling continues west-south-west into the deeper, thicker part of the deposit, and we have expanded our greenfield program to approximately 5,500 metres to test the Barje-Liska corridor, where the same detachment geometry that hosts Barje runs for kilometres beneath shallow cover and has never been systematically drilled. For a company only months into ownership of this asset, we are moving quickly and deliberately.” — Max Piirto, CEO

Minrex expects assay results for fourteen pending diamond drill holes at the project in September 2026.
