Mogotes Metals Outlines 20,000-Metre Drill Program at Filo Sur After Delineating New Porphyry Targets
Mogotes Metals Inc. reported final results from its 2025–2026 field season at the Filo Sur project in Argentina and Chile, highlighted by two discoveries along the Macho Muerto Fault Zone and new porphyry targets at Luz del Sol and Cuenca.

The company completed 6,208 metres of drilling during the season, establishing the Macho Muerto Fault Zone as a primary structural control extending over approximately 10 kilometres from Meseta through Luz del Sol and Albor to Cruz del Sur.
At Luz del Sol, drilling intersected anomalous copper associated with porphyry dikes and hydrothermal breccias, defining a new porphyry target beneath oxidized, leached breccias. Meanwhile, channel sampling expanded the Cuenca porphyry target to 1.3 kilometres by 0.5 kilometres. The principal road cut returned 153 metres averaging 0.31 g/t gold and 0.11% copper over 297 metres of exposed rock, including 54 metres at 0.46 g/t gold and 0.14% copper. Trenching and further sampling are planned to test the underlying anomaly.
The Filo Sur project is located immediately south of the Filo del Sol deposit in the Vicuña district. Mogotes previously closed a US$15 million strategic investment by Rio Tinto Canada Inc. to establish a technical alliance focused on the project.
Building on these results, Mogotes plans to more than triple its drilling activity, targeting up to 20,000 metres of diamond drilling in 2026–2027 to extend the Albor and Cruz del Sur discoveries, execute initial porphyry tests at Luz del Sol-Cuenca and Meseta, and test reconnaissance targets along the wider Macho Muerto Fault Zone. Elsewhere in the district, NGEx Minerals Ltd. reported final Phase 4 drill results at its Lunahuasi project earlier in the year.
