Geophysical Survey Defines Vein Extensions at Gold Point

Nelson Resources (ASX: NES) has completed a Controlled Source Audio-frequency Magnetotellurics (CSAMT) geophysical survey at its Gold Point project in Nevada, identifying several new anomalies that point to potential extensions of known high-grade vein systems. The survey, which spanned 3.57 line-kilometers, successfully delineated resistive and conductive features that align with the structural orientation of the historically significant Orleans and Great Western mines.

The findings are notable for confirming that the project’s mineralization is hosted within northeast-dipping fault structures, a detail that helps clarify the architectural model of the broader system. By identifying these features beneath surface cover and along strike from existing workings, the survey has provided the company with concrete markers for future exploration. The data suggests the presence of a wider structural corridor than previously recognized, indicating that additional mineralized zones could exist outside the areas historically mined for gold and silver.

This approach is intended to move the project toward more efficient testing of both the known vein systems and the newly identified anomalies. While the geophysical features provide a crucial targeting guide, the company maintains that further drilling and geological validation remain necessary to confirm the grade and continuity of mineralization across these newly identified extensions at the Nevada property.
