Nevada King Gold Corp. (NKG) has secured regulatory approval from the Bureau of Land Management for a fifth modification to its Plan of Operations at the Atlanta gold project in eastern Nevada. This latest permit authorizes the establishment of 78 additional reverse circulation drill sites and 404 rotary air blast sites across the 130km2 property. The approval adds 21.1 acres of authorized disturbance to the project, bringing the total permitted footprint to 73.4 acres.

To capitalize on this expanded access, the company is ramping up its exploration efforts. Nevada King has mobilized a third drill rig to the site, which will join the existing reverse circulation and rotary air blast fleet. The two reverse circulation rigs are scheduled for continuous, two-shift daily operation to accelerate the ongoing 40,000-metre Phase 4 drill program. Approximately 12,000 metres of this program have been completed to date.

The new drill sites are focused primarily on the Atlanta South, Silver Park, and Western Rim target areas. By deploying a three-rig strategy, the company aims to expedite the testing of key mineralized extensions and follow-up targets across the site. The rotary air blast drilling serves as a rapid, low-cost method to penetrate overburden and define bedrock targets, while the reverse circulation rigs are tasked with confirming economic mineralization through deeper testing.

The current exploration activity is supported by the company’s strong financial position. Nevada King reports approximately C$18.1 million in cash and equivalents, confirming that the Phase 4 program remains fully funded. This operational momentum aligns with the company’s broader strategy of systematically advancing its regional targets following the completion of earlier exploration phases.

The permitting process for this modification reflects a consistent regulatory path for the project. Receiving approval just two months after formal submission, this milestone represents the fifth consecutive modification successfully navigated by the team. With the additional drill sites now cleared for use, the project is positioned to continue its multi-target testing strategy throughout the remainder of the year. The upcoming catalyst for the project remains the successful execution and completion of the full 40,000-metre Phase 4 exploration initiative. This concerted effort is designed to test district-scale potential across the Atlanta land package, building on geological data gathered during the initial stages of the project’s development.
