New Break Resources Ltd. (CSE: NBRK) has officially resumed its 2026 exploration drilling program at the Moray gold project in Ontario. Located 49 kilometres south of Timmins, the company is moving into a summer phase consisting of approximately 2,500 metres of drilling across a minimum of 11 holes. This effort follows a productive first quarter, during which the explorer completed 3,376 metres of diamond drilling across 22 holes.

The current program has two primary operational objectives. First, the team plans to infill the upper sections of the existing mineralized zone in the Zavitz area. This data is essential for ongoing internal analysis regarding potential open-pit economics and future mineral resource estimation. Second, the company is shifting its geological focus toward the syenite intrusive. While previous results, such as the 3.46 g/t Au over 38.6 metres returned in hole NBR-26-05, highlighted mineralization in mafic volcanics, management is now testing the potential for disseminated gold within the syenite contact zones.

The technical strategy draws direct inspiration from the geological model at the nearby Young-Davidson mine, where disseminated gold within a syenite intrusive evolved into a significant underground operation. By targeting similar geological settings, New Break aims to demonstrate the scale and potential of its land package, which was recently expanded to 28,286 hectares through a strategic consolidation in May 2026. This expansion effectively combined previously fragmented land positions into a single, contiguous footprint.

For the upcoming campaign, the technical team will collar drillholes within the syenite intrusive and advance them back toward the contact with the mafic volcanics. This structural testing is designed to determine if the mineralization extends into the host rock, a key step in evaluating the project's long-term economic viability. New Break expects this systematic approach to provide the necessary information for future resource classification. All samples from the program will be processed by Activation Laboratories in Timmins, with standard quality control procedures applied to ensure consistency with industry practices under National Instrument 43-101.
