New Hope Corporation Limited has updated its coal resources and reserves statement as at 31 May 2026, delivering a company-wide total resource increase of 413 million tonnes compared with the previous period to reach 2,960 million tonnes.

The expanded inventory is underpinned by revised geological models across the company's two primary operations following recent exploration drilling. The total resource increase spans underground and open-cut domains within existing mining leases and adjoining exploration areas.

At the Bengalla Mine, exploration drilling and updated geological modelling within mining leases and exploration licences delivered a resource increase of 262 million tonnes. Total resources at Bengalla rose to 584 million tonnes, compared with 322 million tonnes in 2025.

Underground resources at Bengalla increased from 76 million tonnes to 100 million tonnes, reflecting extensions into exploration licence areas. An additional 238 million tonnes of open-cut resources were also identified within the exploration licences.

New Hope holds an 80 per cent joint venture interest in the Bengalla Mine, with reported figures representing 100 per cent of total resources and reserves. Further mine planning and economic analysis are required before any extension of the operation can be converted into reserves. Pre-feasibility study works will continue to assess the continuation of the Bengalla Mine beyond current approvals.

At the New Acland Mine, exploration drilling conducted over the past two financial years within approved mining pit limits informed an updated geological model. The revised estimates delivered a total resource increase of 151 million tonnes, lifting resources to 636 million tonnes from 485 million tonnes in 2025.

Access to the third pit at New Acland, Manning Vale West, is scheduled for the final quarter of calendar year 2026. A total of 283 million tonnes of recoverable reserves at New Acland require additional regulatory approvals beyond New Acland Stage 3. All other resource and reserve estimates across the company's wider asset portfolio remain unchanged from 2025, with no additional exploration undertaken outside the two operating assets.
